Jozef, zoon van Lambertus Brusten en Alida Maesen. Hij werd geboren in Bree op 10/02/1917 en stierf in Brugge op 05/08/1947. Hij was priester in Chênée, bij Luik, en gedurende de oorlog was hij Chef inlichtingendienst van de lijn Zéro. Hij is aangehouden op 20 september 1943. Tot 15 april 1944 verbleef hij in de gevangenis van Luik. Hij is dan op transport gesteld naar Gross-Strehlitz waar hij verbleef tot 30 oktober 1944. Vervolgens is hij naar het KZ (geen idee waar KZ voor staat) Gross-Rosen getransporteerd en verbleef hij daar tot de ontruiming van het kamp 8 februari 1945. Hij werd dan naar Dora-Nordhausen gebracht, waar hij op 11 april 1945 door de Amerikanen is bevrijd. Gevangenschap had teveel geëist van z'n gezondheid, hij stierf twee jaren later...

During the war, he was Chief Informationservice at line Zéro. He got arrested on september 20th 1943. He remained in prison in Liège till april 15th 1944. Then he got transported to Gross-Strehlitz where he stayed untill october 30th 1944. Afterwards he was again trasported, now to KZ Gross-Rosen (don't know what KZ stands for) till the camp was cleared on february 8th 1945. So, then he was transported to Dora-Nordhausen, where he was freed by the Americans on April 11th 1945. Prison had demanded too much of his health, he died two years later...
